UDALGURI, Feb 28 - The Udalguri district student representatives of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Asomiya Yuva Manch (AYM), All Assam Gorkha Students� Union (AAGSU) and Assam Santhali Students� Union (ASSU) burnt the effigy of BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary on Monday evening at the shaheed bedi premises here at Udalguri town and raised slogans against the BTC authority for allegedly taking an anti non-tribal stand in one of its recent decisions.
The organizations protested against the one-sided decision of the BTC chief which they said was against the BTC Accord. They informed that they would submit a memorandum to this effect to the Governor of Assam and take up more aggressive democratic programmes if the BTC Chief did not repeal the decision at the earliest.
