GUWAHATI, Sept 24 - Personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended an Indian cattle smuggler from the international boundary in Dhubri district while he was trying to smuggle a herd of cattle from India to Bangladesh on Saturday.
The apprehended cattle smuggler, who was identified as Noor Alam (25), was nabbed by the troops of the BOP Binachar and four cattle heads were also seized. He was later handed over to the local police for further legal action.
In another development, BSF troops of the Guwahati Frontier seized 63 cattle heads having an approximate value of Rs 2, 21,020 on the intervening night of September 23 and 24.
