GUWAHATI, Nov 8 - The Border Security Force (BSF), deployed on the international border in Dhubri sector, organised a half marathon race at the Sonahat BOP for celebrating the BSF Golden Year 2015.
The marathon race was participated by 70 BSF personnel and 130 civilians. It started from the Sonahat BOP and touched Lakhimari village, Kanour circle, Rakhal Part and ICP Sonahat before culminating at Sonahat BOP again.
The marathon race was flagged off by Ajay Singh, DIG, BSF, Dhubri in the presence of Commandant, 71 Bn BSF, staff officers and men along with a huge civil crowd.
The first to complete the 21-km half marathon was constable Agya Chetri of 21 Bn BSF who achieved the feat in one hour and 27 minutes. The winners were awarded with medals and cash by Ajay Singh, DIG, BSF, Dhubri.
