IMPHAL, Jan 15 � In a shocking incident, a teenage girl and her elder brother committed suicide in Manipur.
One Khoirom Ibomcha (26), of Yairipok Bamon Leikai in Manipur�s Thoubal district, had scolded his 18 year-old younger sister Rebita alias Inaobi, a class XI student at Thoubal Somorendro Sana Royal Higher Secondary School, on Monday morning.
Ibomcha, who then left for Khwairamband Bazar to collect goods for his hardware store at Yairipok Bazar, was informed about his sister�s suicide by his friend around 9.30 am the same morning, police sources said.
Since then, the whereabouts of Ibomcha was not known. He was found hanging at an uninhabited area of Lilong Laihoukhong Lou Taret the following day. �We recovered the body from the spot�, police said. A case has been registered.
Wife kills husband: A housewife stabbed her drunkard husband to death following a heated argument at Haotal Thangjam Khounou under Heingang police station in Imphal East district on Monday evening, sources said. Locals said the man, who was a habitual drunkard, used to quarrel with his wife frequently.
