GUWAHATI, Jan 27 - CPI-M politburo member Brinda Karat today demanded that the Election Commission of the country should immediately engage itself in checking the BJP from using black money and the divisive forces in the greater interest of the democratic polity of the country.
Addressing a press conference here, the CPI-M leader alleged that the BJP has been using huge amounts of black money and the divisive forces to win the Assembly elections in Tripura.
The BJP has engaged Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as its ambassador to spread the vices in other parts of the NE region. Sarma was named by the BJP as the topmost tainted Minister of Assam in 2014. But now, he has been made an ambassador of the BJP to spread vices in other parts of the NE region. In fact, he should have been in jail now.
