Brig Mishra visits Sainik School

ITANAGAR, Feb 24 - Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) visited Sainik School,Niglok in East Siang district on Saturday. This was the Governor�s second visit to the first Sainik School of the State, an official press release said.

Interacting with the students, the Governor exhorted them to do well in their studies to bring laurels for themselves, their family, society, State and the Nation. He also advised them to instil discipline, honesty and dedication in every step of their life.

Reminding the students of the valour and supreme sacrifice of Havildar Hangpan Dada, Ashok Chakra awardee (posthumous), the Governor advised them to be inspired by Dada�s courage and patriotism. He said Dada was awarded Ashok Chakra, India�s highest peacetime gallantry award for valour, courage, bravery and his supreme sacrifice in the defence of the country against the terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir.

He single-handedly neutralised three heavily armed militants in Kashmir�s Naugam sector on May 26, 2016. The bravery of Havaldar Dada on the battlefield gloriously reflects the nationalist fibre of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, he stated.

Principal in-charge of the Sainik School, Major Ravi Kumar Rathi briefed the Governor about the school, which has its first batch of 60 students.
