BPF policy making body�s meet held

KOKRAJHAR, March 20 - The 8th policy making body (PMB) meeting of the Bodoland People�s Party (BPF) was held today at Bathou Complex, Shyamgaon here.

Talking to mediapersons soon after the meeting, BPF supremo and BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary said that the members of PMB have unanimously decided to organize a series of guardian-level meeting in the entire BTAD region involving everyone irrespective of cast and creed which will start from April next. The policy making body of BPF also thanked the Assam government for declaring ex-gratia for the families of martyrs of the Bodoland movement, he said.

Mohilary informed that today�s meeting also resolved to hold another PMB meeting on March 23 next at Udalguri to decide BPF�s future course of action regarding ensuing panchayat elections and other related issues. Asked about ensuing parliamentary elections, Mahilary said that the party has not decided about it.

He further informed that an urgent meeting with the circle officers, BTAD authority and the BTC administration will be held on March 21 at the BTC Secretariat to find out an easy way to clear the pending land-related documentation work.

Rajya Sabha MP, Biswajit Daimary, BTC Deputy Chief Kampa Borgoyari, State Minister Rihon Daimary, BPF MLA, Chandan Brahma, among others, attended the meeting along with other PMB members.
