BPF for development of all on equal footing

By Correspondent

MUSHALPUR, March 29 Gorkhas have always been close to the pains and sufferings of the Bodos and therefore it is the duty of the BTC Govt to ensure that their political, social, economic, linguistic, academic and cultural development must go on an equal footing with the Bodos. Having led the long armed struggle for a separate Bodoland that resulted in creation of the BTAD, the Bodo leaders can never forget the contribution of the Gorkhas towards whatever we have achieved. This was stated by Kampa Borgoyary, deputy chief of the BTC while addressing the open session of the third triennial conference of Bodoland Regional Committee of Assam Gorkha Sanmelan along with the 13th conference of Baksa District Committee of Assam Gorkha Sanmelan held at Indralal Pathak Girls High School Playground at Nikashi in Baksa district on March 27.

BPF was born from the six decades suffering of negligence and underdevelopment in the interior areas and none but BPF can feel the nerve of the people of every community living in such areas. In every election people irrespective of caste and creed have entrusted the development of BTAD in the safe hands of BPF and this year there will be no exception to it in the Assembly election, he expressed hope.

He called upon each section of the society to strengthen BPF for the rapid all-round development of every community through the development of BTAD. Besides, the central body members of AGS a host of MLAs, EMs and MCLAs of BTC graced the meeting.
