GUWAHATI, Dec 20 - A book titled Crimes Against Women, written by HL Deb, former IPS officer, was released by the acting Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, T Vaiphei, at the Guwahati Press Club today, a press release stated.
In his address, the Chief Justice praised HL Deb for bringing out the �valuable book,� which would extend the best possible help to women and also enlighten everyone on the remedies for cases of crimes against women.
Earlier, in his welcome address, HL Deb disclosed that the proceeds from the sales of the book would be given to the Santaneer Old Age Home where poor and downtrodden people would be provided shelter at their old age.
The meeting was also addressed by retired judges DN Biswas and SK Kar, the release added.
