Book on Assam kho-kho released

GUWAHATI, Aug 31 - A book on the game of kho-kho in Assam, titled �Asomot Kho-Khor Nabarup authored by senior bureaucrat Rajib Prakash Baruah, who is also vice president of the Kho-kho Federation of India and president of the East Zone Kho-kho Federation and Assam Kho-kho Association, was released today.

The book was released by Hrishikesh Goswami, Media Adviser to the Chief Minister during a public meeting organised here on the occasion of the 30th death anniversary of noted journalist Harendra Nath Baruah.

The 70-page book contains different aspects of the game and its development in India and Assam.

Releasing the book Goswami mentioned that game is developing in Assam under proper guidance of Rajib Prakash Baruah who was also instrumental in including Assam players in the Indian teams which won gold medal in the South Asian Games.
