GUWAHATI, April 12 - The City Mission Management Unit (CMMU) of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), which functions under the Assam State Urban Livelihood Mission Society, organised a Bohagi Mela on April 10 and 11 at five zonal offices of the GMC.
Women Self-Help Groups formed under the CMMU participated in large numbers to display and sell products prepared by them at the GMC zonal offices in Lakhtokia, Uzanbazar, Bhutnath, Dispur and Ulubari.
Sugar-free pitha, laru, traditional pickles and dishes, seasonal gift packs besides gamosa and mekhela chador were the main attractions at the event. GMC Mayor Mrigen Sarania inaugurated the event at the Uzanbazar GMC office.
