TURA, June 21 - The decomposed body of a 19-year-old girl, who had allegedly gone missing from near her house at Barmanpara under the Mahendraganj PS in South West Garo Hills a few days back, was recovered by the police on Wednesday morning. A local resident informed the police after spotting the body near the Pishlapara jungle.
According to police sources, a missing report was filed by family members of the victims, after which an investigation was launched.
Prima facie it appears to be a case of kidnapping and murder,� said SP Bobby W Momin. The post mortem was performed on the spot and the victim was identified through her clothes by her family members.
