Bodo Sahitya Sabha special meet held

MORIGAON, May 19 � A two-day special delegates� meeting of Bodo Sahitya Sabha was held on May 17 and 18 at Jalakiabori ME School in Morigaon district.

Altogether 600 delegates from different districts of Assam took part in this special meeting of Bodo Sahitya Sabha. The programme started with flag-hoisting by Dr Kameswar Brahma, president, Bodo Sahitya Sabha on May 17 followed by the first delegates� session.

The open meeting held on the occasion was presided over by Dr Kameswar Brahma. Attending the open meeting, several invited guests expressed their unhappiness over the dearth of teachers in Bodo medium primary schools. Kamala Kanta Musahary, general secretary of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, expressed concern over the State government�s callousness due to which free textbooks to Bodo medium students have not been distributed till date.
