Bodh chosen for many film festivals

GUWAHATI, Oct 27 - Assamese short film Bodh (Unfolding the spirit of Reverence), directed by Arindam Barooah, has been selected for various film festivals in and outside India.

Bodh is a one-character monologue drama short film revolving around a son�s utmost appreciation and realisation towards his father�s essence. It weaves a deeply emotional revelation by a son about a father�s love, care, compassion, bitterness, silences and sacrifices.

The film won critical appreciation at 11 film festivals such as International Film Competition (IFCOM) Festival 2016, Jakarta, Indonesia; 4th Indian Cine Film Festival-16, Mumbai; Grand Off - World Independent Film Awards 2016, Warsaw, Poland; Second Asia International (Wenzhou) Youth Short Film Exhibition, Beijing, China; Filmingo Short Film Festival of 2016, Mumbai, etc., besides the prestigious 5th Delhi International Film Festival 2016, Delhi, India as a semi-finalist and also an Honourable Mention Award at International Independent Film Award, USA.

The cast includes only one actor, Anurag Biswasi from Duliajan. Dialogues are penned by Rita Bhuyan Barooah, while cinematography is by Gitertha Goswami and Bhaskar Jyoti Dutta.
