Bobbeeta Sharma vows to address major issues

GUWAHATI, March 31 - The Congress candidate for the Guwahati East Assembly constituency, Bobbeeta Sharma has released her manifesto promising issue-specific measures for the residents of Guwahati.

In her manifesto, Sharma has assured that if voted to the Legislative Assembly, she will address the issues concerning people residing in the hilly areas, especially those related to landslide and potable water.

She also claimed that grievances pertaining to artificial flood, land patta, installation of streetlights and proper drainage will be addressed.

In her separate manifesto, which she claims is constituency-specific, Sharma said she will try to ensure that the works taken up by the Public Works Department (PWD), Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) on various civic issues are expedited and Guwahati as a whole becomes a better place to live in.

She has also stressed issues related to women�s security and development, better education for students and tourism in her manifesto, which was released days after the Congress had released the party manifesto.

Sharma also envisages a citizen-friendly Guwahati with state-of-the-art transport and other facilities.
