MORIGAON, March 31 - The vexed foreigners problem of Assam will be solved and BJP-led Central government will chalk out a policy for it, said Union Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj while addressing an election meeting at Charaibahi, Morigaon today.
Sushma Swaraj said that illegal Bangladeshi problem in Assam is a vote bank issue for parties like Congress and AIUDF, but for the BJP it is an issue of national security. She said that during last year, good relation has been built between India and Bangladesh and several deals have been made. So there is a good environment for a permanent solution to the problem of illegal infiltration.
BJP is the only party, while in power at the Centre, has proceeded to seal the Indo-Bangla border completely. The Foreign Affairs Minister further said that for all-round development of Assam and for corrupt-free governance, BJP is the only answer.
