BJP tells Rahul to spell out stand on influx

By Spl CORRESPONDENT

NEW DELHI, Feb 25 Claiming that the support received by Narendra Modi in the North-east reflected the peoples growing disenchantment with the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday asked the Congress vice president Rahul Gadhi about his stand on the issue of illegal migration from Bangladesh.

Raising a few questions about Gandhis ongoing Assam visit, BJP national spokesperson and MP Prakash Javadekar said that BJP sought answers from Rahul Gandhi before his visit to the North-east. What is Rahul Gandhis position on illegal migrants from Bangladesh flooding the North-east? Why has Congress promoted this infiltration, which has caused social and demographic change in the North-east?

Why infrastructure like roads, rail, power and telecom in the North-east is in a shambles, even though many of the State governments and the Central government have been of the Congress? the BJP spokesman asked.
