NEW DELHI, March 12 The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its fourth list of candidates for six constituencies. Another list for the remaining 10 Assembly constituencies is expected to be released soon.

BJP has fielded Siddharth Bhattacharyya for the prestigious Guwahati (East) seat, Manoj Phukan for Guwahati (West), Rajdeep Roy (Silchar), Baliram Boro (Dudnoi), Jadab Chandra Deka (Kamalpur) and Siladitya Dev (Hojai).

The fourth list should also placate the partys MPs, who have been upset with the State leadership for keeping them in the dark. Following national president Nitin Gadkaris intervention, nominees of Bijoya Chakravarty, Ramen Deka and Rajen Gohain have been accommodated. The Guwahati (East), Kamalpur and Hojai candidates have the blessing of Chakravarty, Deka and Gohain, respectively, party sources said.

The sulking Nagaon MP even threatened to resign from the State campaign committee, even as the State leadership grappled with its worst crisis following release of the list of candidates.
