GUWAHATI, Oct 2 - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh Minority Morcha on Sunday launched an initiative to address the unemployment problem in the State and distributed autorickshaws to 20 youths at a function held at the head office of the party at Hengerabari.

President of the Morcha, Muminul Aowal said that the initiative has been taken to motivate youths towards achieving self-reliance without hankering after jobs.

The beneficiaries are from different parts of the State.

Aowal further said that every month, 100 unemployed youths will be trained to help them achieve self-sufficiency.

Unemployment is one of the burning issues of the State and we hope that this small step on our part will bring about a change in the scenario. There will be no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, language and community for getting this benefit, but families that have no earning source will get preference, said Aowal, adding that the Morcha in the coming days will distribute different kinds of three and four-wheelers to unemployed youths under this initiative.
