An executive meeting of the Rani Mandal committee under the West Guwahati constituency was held on January 4 at Kahikuchi. Addressing the meeting, BJP leaders Bijoy Gupta, Prasanta Mahanta, Ashok Bharali, Baleswar Rangpi, Tapan Das, Sikha Nath Choudhury, Kabita Boro Rongpi and Babita Baishya called upon the grassroot workers to make the base of the party strong before the ensuing election.
The meeting, presided over by Rani Mandal president Harakanta Nath, was conducted by Kushal Das, secretary of the Rani Mandal committee.
