ITANAGAR, Aug 25 - In a scathing attack which turned out to be a huge embarrassment to the ruling dispensation, the Opposition Congress�s youth wing, Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC), today condemned senior BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Dy CM Chowna Mein, Veterinary Minister Dr Mohesh Chai and others for showing disrespect to the national flag and the Indian map.
Reportedly, the trio had cut a cake bearing the tri-colour and the Indian map with a �dao� (sword) during yesterday�s flagging-off of Tiranga Yatra, organised by BJP�s youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).
The APYC alleged, the act has �exposed their hidden agenda to divide India on the basis of caste, race, creed and religion which is very much prevalent since the inception of �Modi Sarkar�. Hence, the BJYM�s Tiranga rally with the theme �Barat Jodo� has become a big mockery.�
The APYC demanded immediate dropping of the trio from their respective Ministerial posts for disrespecting the national flag and that they must be booked under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act 1971 and provisions of anti-national act.�
