IMPHAL, Sept 20 - BJP Manipur Pradesh has supported the demand for inclusion of Meitei/Meetei, Meitei/Meetei Pangal, Meitei/Meetei Bamon in the Scheduled Tribe(ST) list of the Indian Constitution.
Stating that history, culture and food habits of all the indigenous communities of the State are similar, BJP Manipur president Th Chaoba Singh recently urged the Manipur Government to take necessary resolutions in the State Assembly.
He said a party delegation will also go and pursue the matter with the Central Government, if necessary, he added.
