GUWAHATI, Oct 18 � The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh on Tuesday came down heavily on the Tarun Gogoi government alleging that there was no security of life of the common people as they were being easily targeted by the anti social elements.
Pointing out to the increasing crime across the State, the party said that the ruling Congress was least bothered about the security and property of the people.
Criticizing the government for its failure to nab the culprits, the party said that Tarun Gogoi was totally responsible for the deteriorating law and order and should resign.
The party also regretted the government�s inability to nab the culprits involved in theft at the Sattras.
Demanding that the government provide free medical aid to those injured by the anti social elements, the party called upon the government to adequately compensate those killed during such violence.
�The government must also provide security to the sattras of the State,� insisted the party.
