BJP eyes both LS seats in Tripura

By The Assam Tribune

AGARTALA, April 5 - After a landslide victory in the Assembly elections in Tripura, the BJP is now consolidating its ground-level forces to win both the Lok Sabha seats from the State in the 2019 general elections, its general secretary for NE region, Ajay Jamwal, said.

Jamwal came here yesterday to strengthen the party organisation and the relationship of the party with the Government, BJP spokesperson Mrinal Kanti Deb said.

After coming here, Jamwal held a series of meetings with booth-level workers at Majlishpur, Khayerpur, Ramnagar and Bishalgarh constituencies, Deb said.

We have to ensure victory in both the Lok Sabha seats in Tripura by huge margins and that is our next target, he had said in his address to party leaders and workers at Khayerpur, about 15 km from here, yesterday. He also asked BJP leaders and supporters to celebrate the partys 38th foundation day on April 6 at the booth level across the State.

Jamwal said BJP workers should keep their eyes open for any irregularities in the implementation of government schemes and projects.

Each of our party workers should have our core values including respect for our festivals, rituals and love for the nation. This main mantra should be nurtured by every party supporter to develop the country into a modern state, he said.

He added the BJP-led NDA Government was working to eradicate poverty and develop the country into a developed country. Every booth-level worker has to work as a conscious activist. Complain about any irregularity to the elected public representative. Knock the doors of the Chief Minister if needed, he told party colleagues. PTI
