KOKRAJHAR, Oct 17 - The Kokrajhar district unit of the BJP on Friday staged a three-hour sit-in demonstration in front of the Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner�s office in protest against the alleged corruption in the BTC Government.
A large number of BJP supporters took part in the demonstration and displayed posters and banners. They also shouted slogans against the Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF Government in the BTC.
Later, the BJP unit also submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Assam through the Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner. MLAs Manaranjan Das and Ranjit Das, Nirupama Das, Kokrajhar district BJP president, Sibnath Brahma, general secretary, Debraj Paul, State BJP executive member, and Mano Kumar Brahma participated in the demonstration programme.
