BISWANATH CHARIALI, July 22 � In view of the increasing number of Japanese Encephalitis cases in the State, the subdivisional administration of Biswanath, in association with the Health Department, has undertaken several steps to prevent the spread of the deadly disease. Two separate review meetings were held in this connection at the conference hall of the SDO (Civil), Biswanath, and Behali PHC to take stock of the situation.
Narayan Konwar, SDO (Civil) in-charge, chaired the meetings. The meetings urged the public not to panic and follow the necessary instructions.
Meanwhile, the administration has also made necessary arrangements for vaccination among people in the age group of 1 and 15 years, house-to-house spraying of DDT, distribution of medicated mosquito nets and collection of blood samples in the affected areas.
