GUWAHATI, April 11 - Dils Lakhmindra Sinha, a Bishnupriya Manipuri poet from Assam, was awarded the Baristha Sahitya Pratibha Sanman at the International Poets Meet held recently at Janakpur, Mithila Pradesh, Nepal, stated a press release.
The meet was held as part of the 6th Social Media Monitor Sammelan (Bharat-Nepal) organised jointly by Nepal Bharat Moitri Virangana Foundation, Kathmandu and Indian Embassy at Kathmandu.
Dils Lakshmindra recited a poem in Bishnupriya Manipur and sang a Hindi ghazal composed by himself. He was felicitated with a traditional Nepali headwear, a memento and a certificate of honour.
Dils Sinha has 13 volumes of poetry, two volumes of stories and many other works which include BM Sahityalamkara, a book on Bishnupriya Manipuri figures of speech.
