Birdie clinches National Youth title

GUWAHATI, Oct 23 - Birdie Boro of Assam continued his recent form at the National Ranking Table Tennis Championship by winning the Youth Championship title at Visakhapatnam, organised by South Zone.

Ranked fourth in India in the Youth Category, Birdie defeated No. 1 ranked Arjun Ghosh of West Bengal 4-3 in the summit clash that lasted over 40 minutes. He also outclassed No. 1 ranked Ronit Bhanja of West Bengal in the semifinal with an identical scoreline. The championship concluded on Saturday.

Assam Table Tennis Association president Rakibul Hussain and secretary Tridip Duvarah congratulated Birdie Boro for his excellent performance at the national level once again, stated a press release.
