GUWAHATI, Nov 19 - The Guwahati Biotechnology Park will organise the Assam Biotechnology Conclave 2015 with a two-day programme from November 20 with a view to offering opportunities to understand the possibilities of industry-oriented research and starting entrepreneurial ventures in Biotechnology and related areas in the North Eastern region of the country, stated a press release.
The conclave will get under way from 10 am tomorrow. It will bring together policy makers, industry professionals, innovators, investment bankers, investors, academicians and students to deliberate on the latest trends in this sector, which will create business and partnering opportunities for stakeholders and showcase the facilities and opportunities offered by the Guwahati Biotechnology Park.
The Guwahati Biotechnology Park has also announced a contest titled �Talent Search Contest on Innovative Research Ideas Leading to Entrepreneurial Venture in Biotechnology and Allied Areas� to accelerate research and development activities and ignite young minds to cultivate entrepreneurial ideas in Biotechnology and allied fields. The best proposals will be offered ready-to-use laboratory space at the Guwahati Biotechnology Park or cash prizes.
The shortlisted participants will present their proposals and the best proposals will be announced and awarded in the contest, added the press release.
