GUWAHATI, Jan 14 (PTI): Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said that Bihu is the lifeline of Assamese culture and binds together people of all faiths.
"Bihu is the lifeline of Assamese culture. We must uphold the culture that is rooted to the soil," Gogoi said at a Magh Bihu function here today.
The way people are celebrating Bihu today with joy and merriment is a clear indication that Assam is moving towards peace and prosperity, he said.
