GUWAHATI, March 8 � In a one-sided affair of the GSA A Division Cricket League for the Bhupen Chandra Mahanta Trophy, Ankurjyoti Club outplayed Bud Cricket Club by 62 runs.
Put into bat at the Nehru Stadium here today, Ankurjyoti scored a challenging total of 176 for nine in 35 overs. Rohit Sarma (49), Sujay Tarafdar (42) and Parthajit Baishya (35) were their leading run getters.
The Bud batsmen miserably failed to chase down the target and were all out in 26.5 overs for 114.
Sujay Tarafdar destroyed the Bud innings taking four wickets for 12.
