Bid to make PF-related matters more transparent

SILCHAR, March 18 - In a bid to make matters related to provident fund (PF) of tea employees more transparent, the Assam Tea Employees� Provident Fund Organisation zonal office here recently hosted an interactive programme with the managers of member gardens from Barak Valley under the Indian Tea Association.

In a session organised at the Surma Valley branch of ITA here, officials and participating managers exchanged opinions and suggestions to make the online process of managing the provident fund matters more customised to facilitate the garden employees.

Mridul Hussain, Fund Control Officer of the department who conducted the session along with Rupjyoti Tanti, Assistant Fund Control Officer said, �the interaction was fruitful since vital issues were floated and discussed for better functioning of the ATEPFO schemes.

�The effort would help remove hurdles in the processing of PF matters of the employees of the tea gardens,� he hoped. He added that a similar meeting was convened at the office of the Tea Association of India here as well.
