SILCHAR, Jan 11 - The District Sports Association Silchar has taken a unique initiative for the children and young sports enthusiasts. With the slogan�Chalo Maathe Jai ,�the DSA has arranged an evening of sports activities on January 12 for the next generation of the town to pull them to the ground.�
In the words of Bijendra Prasad Singh, the general secretary of the association, �we are increasingly captivated by the concrete jungle around us. The children of today do not have enough green spaces around to play and this brought us to the idea to dedicate one evening� full of sports activities�under floodlights for them on National Youth Day when the country will celebrate birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The parents must bring their kids to the park�to experience a different initiative.�
Singh further informed that there will be kiosks conveying information about different opportunities in sports activities conducted by the association, which the children can learn about and get involved in the coming days.
