BAIHATA CHARIALI, June 11 - With a view to registering their protest against price hike of essential commodities, corruption and failure to provide employment to un-employed youths and proper facilities to the farmers by the BJP-led government in the State as well as the Union Government, Bihdia-Jajikona and Kamalpur block congress committee took out a bicycle rally in the Kamalpur LAC on Saturday. Bihdia-Jajikona block Congress committee took out the bicycle rally from Bihdia to Karara in which Dr Harish Patowary, secretary of APCC participated along with leaders of the block.
The Kamalpur block Congress committee took out the rally from Kamalpur Rajiv Bhavan to Baihata Chariali ASTC bus station via Mahatma Gandhi community health centre at Kamalpur. The people also organised a protest meeting at the ASTC bus station where Kishor Kumar Bhattacharya , spokesman of APCC and Pranjit Choudhury, Congress leader of Kamalpur LAC spoke against the anti-people policies of the government.
