However the Indian pair of Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza went down to Paul Hansley and Suwei Hsieh 6-1, 2-6, 2-6 in the quarterfinals.
It was a facile victory for Bhupathi and Elena as they overpowered their opponents with beautiful teamwork. They combined well in the court as their opponents found it difficult to counter their sharp volleys and drop-shots.
