Bhaskar Bidyapeeth golden jubilee concludes

GUWAHATI, Jan 25 � The closing ceremony of the year-long golden jubilee of Bhaskar Bidyapeeth Higher Secondary School at RG Baruah Road was observed with a three-day programme from January 20 to 22.

The golden jubilee flag was hoisted by former teacher of the school Lahori Bhagawati. Swahid tarpan, smriti tarpan and various programmes such as tree-plantation, cultural procession, cooking competition, health check up camp, exhibition-cum-sale, seminar, sports, souvenir-inauguration and cultural programmes were undertaken.

The newly constructed main-gate, donated by the 1981 batch of the HSLC examinees was inaugurated by ex-teacher, Karuna Deka. The souvenir was released by noted comedy-writer Bhadra Borah. Poet Hiren Bhattacharyya was a special invitee in the tree-plantation programme. The principal of the school, in a press release, thanked all who helped to make the function a resounding success.
