BGB to set up 10 BOPs along Indo-Bangla border

AGARTALA, Jan 25 - Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) will set up ten more border outposts along the Indo-Bangla border in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) of the neighbouring country to stop trans-border movement of anti-national elements and check smuggling and infiltration.

�BGB has agreed to make tighter its border and erect ten more border outposts (BOPs) in CHT bordering Tripura and Mizoram,� BSF spokesman and DIG DS Bhati told reporters here recently. Tripura shares 856 km-long border with Bangladesh while Mizoram shares 318 km border with the country. � PTI
