BADARPUR, March 13 � About 35,000 people received the broad gauge railway engine at the newly built Badarpur Railway Station this afternoon.
Various organisations including the Badarpur Rail Division Implementation Demand Committee, Badarpur Railway Mazdoor and Employees� Union, Bharatiya Janata Party of Badarpur unit and others received the railway engine at about 4.35 pm which came from New Haflong Railway Station at Badarpur Rail Gate Point. Senior railway officials were also present on the occasion.
Later, the broad gauge railway engine left for Silchar Railway Station. Official sources told this correspondent that on March 16 RK Singh, NF Rly General Manager of Construction will inaugurate the newly built Badarpur Railway Station building.
