MORIGAON, July 27 - Betkuchi High School of Kamrup (Metro) will represent Assam in the U-14 Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament which will be held in New Delhi.
Betkuchi HS emerged champions in the Pilik Choudhury Memorial Inter District School Football Tournament defeating Jaipur High School of Dibrugarh district 3-0 at the Khirod Baruah Stadium here and qualified for the national level tournament.
Jackson Engti opened the account in the very second minute of the match with a solo effort. He enhanced the margin in the 19th minute and Narayan Rabha completed the rout in the 49th minute.
Jackson Engti was adjudged man of the tournament. Uday Kamal Chetia, Deputy Director, Sports and Youth Welfare Department handed over the trophy to winners while ST Rahman, ADC, Morigaon gave away the runners up trophy.
