Beneficiaries handed over PMAY-G houses in Golaghat

JORHAT, Aug 13 - Golaghat Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Utpal Doley, holding charge of Project Director DRDA (Golaghat) today inaugurated PMAY-G houses and cement concrete paver block at Koliapani GP under Golaghat East Development Block and at Dhekial Gaon Panchayat under Golaghat Central Block.

A district administration source informed this newspaper that altogether 128 PMAY-G houses constructed at a cost of Rs 1.66 crore was handed over to beneficiaries across the district by the DRDA authorities under 102 GPs.

At Koliapani GP, the DC and other officials interacted with the beneficiaries and collected feedback from them regarding availing of Government schemes like free electricity supply under Saubhagya, free LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and employment under MGNREGA etc., the source stated.

State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, who is Bokakhat MLA along with Khumtai MLA Mrinal Saikia, Sarupathar MLA Roselina Tirkey and Dergaon legislator Bhabendra Nath Bharali also took part in the handing over ceremonies organised in their respective constituencies, the source said.

The source further stated that across Golaghat district, works under MGNREGA amounting to Rs 4.38 crore in 112 sites too were also inaugurated today.
