GUWAHATI, Sept 14 � Assam Accord Minister Dr Bhumidhar Barman, Minister of Social Welfare Akon Bora and former MP Kirip Chaliha, who had filed their nomination papers for the post of president of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee on Monday, today withdrew their papers.
While Dr Barman handed over the withdrawal letter to Jagdish Thakral, assistant provincial returning officer, AICC, both Bora and Chaliha handed over their respective letters to Subash Chopra, provincial returning officer, AICC, party sources said.
