Barechaharia Bhaona Mahotsav concludes

PAKAMURAPATHAR (Jamugurihat), Feb 28 � The four-day historic Barechaharia Bhaona Mahotsav came to an end last night showcasing various cultural programmes presented by diverse ethnic cultural groups of the region.

The concluding day�s programme was marked by the naam prasanga, shifting of singhaghan from the Bhaona pandal, inauguration of cultural nite by Tourism Minister Chandan Brahma, chorus by ethnic cultural troupes like Boro, Rabha, Missing, Nepali, Muslim, and Adivashi communities of the district and Manipuri dance, etc.

Inaugurating the cultural nite, Brahma stated that the Tourism Department would do the needful to take forward the Barechaharia Bhaona to the international platform.

A colourful cultural function was also organized on the day to showcase the Sankari tradition and other folk and classical culture.
