'Barak roads will be better soon'

SILCHAR, June 4 - At a time when dilapidated roads, particularly NH 6 that connects Barak Valley with the State capital, have been the major hurdle towards poor communication for the people of Barak Valley, Parimal Suklabaidya, the new PWD minister of the State, reassured on Saturday that his department will chalk out plans to repair the roads and make them worth travelling within a very short time.

The PWD minister reached Barak Valley via the Shillong-Silchar roadway with his team of commissioners and chief engineers of PWD Roads, NH and Building. On the way, the minister together with the commissioners and chief engineers of the departments took stock of the road condition.
