TEZPUR, Dec 10 - The 11-hour Assam bandh call given by AASU and NESO in protest against the controversial CAB that has already been passed in the Lok Sabha was total in Tezpur.
The AASU workers staged their protest by burning tyres at different places and blocked the Highway 15.
However, protesting the CAB the AASU activists gheraoed the Jaimati Pathar AGP office and interrupted the AGP workers from observing their martyrs day.
Moreover, tension prevailed in Dhekiajuli area following assaulting of a protestor by some miscreants.
Later police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.
