KALAIGAON, Dec 3 - On the occasion of completion of glorious 100 years, the three-day concluding celebration of Balisitha LP School at Khoirabari in Udalguri district will be held on March next with pomp and gaiety.
According to Mahesh Deka, working president of the reception committee, 11 sub-committees have been working for the successful completion of the celebrations. A souvenir will also be published on the occasion with Sarat Deka as the chief editor. The celebration committee will also hold an all-Assam essay competition for school and college students. The topic for the competition is: �Importance of mother language in elementary-level education.�
Students from second year HS to post-graduate level can take part in the essay competition. The first three winners will be awarded certificates and cash prizes. Dipen Deka, media and publicity secretary of the celebration committee has urged all the interested students to contact or send the essay to Lohit Saikia, joint secretary of the celebration committee, Balisitha LP School, Khoirabari, Udalguri district.
