MANGALDAI, April 1 - A ten-day badminton coaching camp organised by the Darrang District Badminton Association in collaboration with the Mangaldai Club got under way today at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Indoor Stadium here. The camp is being conducted by NIS coach Priyanuj Duwara as the chief trainer and features 40 young shuttlers.
Dr Amarendra Narayan Deb, secretary of Mangaldai Club formally inaugurated the camp in presence of Darrang District Badminton Association secretary Basanta Deka.
Prior to the inaugural function, the organisers in presence of Mangaldai MLA Gurujyoti Das and Deputy Commissioner, Darrang, Ashok Kr Barman felicitated international badminton player Ashmita Chaliha and veteran badminton and football player Nagendra Nath Choudhury.
