Bacardi NH7 music extravaganza concludes

SHILLONG, Oct 25 - The first leg of Bacardi NH7 Weekender, 2015 kicked off on Friday at District Sports Association Sports Complex in Bhoirymbong, Ri-Bhoi district.

Thousands of music lovers from the State Capital and surrounding cities thronged the venue to witness rock bands and also get a glimpse of other events organised during the two-day festival which concluded yesterday.

Incidentally, this is the 6th edition of the festival and it would also be held at Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

On the first day of the festival, a diverse lineup of both Indian and international artistes enthralled the audience. Right from iconic artistes like The Wailers, who have performed all over the world, to Parikrama mesmerising the audience with their fusion tunes.

Popular home-grown band Imphal Talkies and Shaa�ir + Func brought thousands to their feet to dance, sway, and take in the enriching experience.

Apart from the music, the festival also featured the �Engrave�s Maker�s Market.� �This unique Bazaar is a specially curated space for artists, craftspeople, DIYers from across India to showcase their creative products,� the organisers of the event said.

There were hand-woven baskets, beaten metalware, funky tees, fashion accessories, jewelry, bags, art, home d�cor and other unique products from a variety of makers which caught the fancy of those present. There were also food stalls to cater to the food lovers.

One of the biggest attractions of the event on the concluding day was metal legends, Megadeth. The metal band has a large fan following in the State and their performance was expected to be a huge hit.

Along with Megadeth, Indian favourites Lou Majaw and Friends, Kailasa, Bhayanak Maut, Scribe, Swarathama, Nucleya and others were also scheduled to perform on Day 2.
