Baba Ramdev to float new political party

By CORRESPONDENT

ITANAGAR, Feb 16 With a resolve to cleanse the countrys political system and its governance, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev today said that he will float a new political party soon to fight the next Lok Sabha elections.

After June, I will form a new political party to cleanse the countrys political system and governance towards building an affluent India, which will be free from corruption, crime, poverty and diseases, said Ramdev, while talking to newsmen after conducting a yoga session at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun here this morning.

Ramdev, who is leading the movement of Bharat Swabhiman Andolan to ensure cent per cent voting, nationalist thought among the countrymen and boycott of foreign goods, adoption of swadeshi ones and cent per cent Yoga-oriented nation, said that corruption has taken an alarming proportion of the countrys economy.

My partys main objective would be to cleanse the political system in India and to ensure that the government brings back over Rs 300 lakh crore Indian black money from abroad as it belongs to the people of India and has been taken out of the country illegally.

Besides hinting that the would-be political party might fight the forthcoming Assembly elections due in five States including Assam and West Bengal, he said, The next general election would be a watershed event, when all the corrupt politicians will be wiped out once Bharat Swabhiman (Trust) with the support of like-minded people having qualities like honesty, clean image and ideal character becomes a force to reckon with.

Indicating that he will not fight the polls, Ramdev said, We will only vote for patriotic, honest, farsighted and skillful people. We ourselves will vote 100 per cent and also make others to vote to bring about a new freedom, new system and new change. We will make Bharat the biggest superpower in the world.

Talking about Indo-China boundary dispute in special reference to Arunachal Pradesh, Baba Ramdev said that he feels the Centre should give a befitting reply to Indias neighbours whoever tries to create bewilderment by putting unnecessary claims on territorial integrity of the country.

Affirming that no one can alienate Arunachal Pradesh from the great nation, India, he said, Arunachal Pradesh Bharat ki mukut hain. Ye shirf desk ki ek abhinna anga hi nehin balki India ki pran hain (Arunachal Pradesh is the crown of our great nation, Bharat. Its not only an integral part of India but also the soul of our country).

Taking a dig at the Union Government for remaining tight-lipped to oft-repeated claims on Arunachal Pradesh territory by China, Ramdev said, Its not good that the Centre keeps mum on the vexed Indo-China border issue. It is entirely undesirable for the growth of the country.

I must say, at this juncture, the Centre should give a befitting reply not to China alone but to other neighbours (including Pakistan) as well when our countrys unity, integrity and sovereignty comes under threat from outside, said Ramdev.

While expressing serious concern on growing exploitation of land and resources of the region that purportedly gave birth to a plethora of problems, including joblessness and insurgency problem in North East, the renowned Yoga Guru belligerently said, Pradhan Mantriji pehele aapne ghar ko thik karein (Let the Prime Minister, who happens to be the Member of Parliament from Assam, first of all, set his house right).
