GUWAHATI, March 31 - The Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights in collaboration with Sontoli Samaria Child Development Society organised a community-level meeting addressing issues related to child protection at Sontoli Anchalik College at Boko in Kamrup district.

The meeting laid stress on the need to create awareness among the public against various crimes against children that goes unnoticed many a time. The meeting also discussed in detail the greater role that the community can play in preventing such crimes.

The programme was attended by Chairperson Dr Sunita Changkakati, ASCPCR, Indrani Tahbildar, member of ASCPCR, DSP Arunima Bhuyan, DSP Mamoni Hazarika, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and people from Sontoli Samaria region, a press release stated.
