GUWAHATI, July 16 - The Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd, Capital Electrical Subdivision, Dispur, organised a public awareness meet at Hatigaon High School on July 14, stated a press release.
Lalit Narayan Kar, SDO, explained the purpose of the meeting, which was attended largely by the citizens of Hatigaon area.
The meeting discussed issues like consumer awareness relating to electrical uses, safety and precaution at the time of emergency or electrical accidents, etc. The citizens discussed the issue of electrical safety with the technical persons of APDCL. They also thanked the organisers for holding such a meeting.
Those present in the meet included Dr Navaneel Baruah of the GNRC, Anu Handique, GMC councillor, Siddique Rahman, president of Nagarik Samaj, Nabin Sarmah of Hatigaon High School managing committee, Officer-in-charge of the Hatigaon Police Station, in addition to several employees of the APDCL.
